Euromatch NPFL: Imama Reacts To Abia Warriors’ Home Defeat To Niger Tornadoes

Translate

Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo has admitted that his side has a lot to learn following their disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Umu Chineke suffered the setback at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Sunday, with Wasiu Jimoh scoring the decisive goal for the visitors four minutes before the hour mark.

The victory marked Niger Tornadoes’ first away win of the season and lifted Kabiru Dogo’s side to ninth position on the league table, with 15 points from 10 matches.

Reacting to the result, Imama praised Niger Tornadoes for their determination and resilience, describing their performance as an important lesson for his team.

“I think Tornadoes showed character and resilience to come here and produce such a great performance, and it is a big lesson for us,” Imama was quoted as saying by the NPFL media.

The defeat will leave Abia Warriors reflecting on their performance as they seek to bounce back in their next league fixture.

The Umuahia club have recorded just one win at home in the NPFL this season.
