Businessman arrested in Ilocos Norte drug bust
SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur— Police arrested a 33-year-old businessman in a drug buy-bust operation in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, on Thursday.
In a report on Friday, the Sarrat Municipal Police Station seized five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing a total of 1.61 grams.
Police also recovered drug-using paraphernalia, a mobile phone, a black sling bag, a pair of scissors, lighters, a motorcycle and the buy-bust money.
The suspect was taken into police custody as authorities prepared to pursue the appropriate charges.
