The Yemen and Saudi governments are under pressure and under fire. The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman reportedly called President Trump twice to ask him to authorise US strikes against the Houthis, over the deteriorating military situation in Yemen and the threat to the Bab el Mandeb Strait.

According to Axios, the US President declined
