EastEnders airs earth-shattering Ravi Gulati development in early BBC iPlayer release

The scales have fallen from Ravi Gulati's (Aaron Thiara) eyes in EastEnders, following a major revelation made by fiancée Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy).

Ravi has had a very eventful year already. He was drugged by Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) which led to a troubling hallucination of his late father Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) and a subsequent attack on son Davinder "Nugget" Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury).

With his mental health at an all time low, Ravi was diagnosed with complex PTSD. He then decided to end his relationship with Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), and left Walford.

When Ravi returned, he was stunned to learn that she was seeing another fella - and vowed to kill him. He also reconnected with Priya, unaware that she was still pursuing her other relationship.

We viewers were privy to the fact that Max Branning (Jake Wood) was the mystery man, though it wasn't until the night before his disastrous wedding to Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) that Ravi learnt the truth.

An explosion confrontation ensued, though Priya forced Ravi to relent under the promise that her affair was over. He seemed satisfied with her explanation, and even accepted that her unborn child was his.

Of course, this isn't true. Paternity results had confirmed that Max is the father, something which Cindy began to suspect in today's episode.

She was on the tube and overheard Ravi and Priya discussing the baby, and upon arriving back in Walford, asked Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) outright whether she knew anything. Jean kept quiet, feeling that it wasn't her place to reveal the truth.

However, little did she realise, her silence spoke more than words.

Later that day, Cindy stole Nugget's keys from the Minute Mart counter and let herself into Priya's flat. She found the paternity results, though it didn't take long for her to be discovered.

Cindy dealt a menacing warning - Priya should leave Albert Square, or she'd tell everyone what was going on.

When Ravi returned home, Priya sheepishly told him her cover story. She said that her cousin in Leeds was unwell, and she'd have to go and look after her.

Ravi wasn't convinced, and knowing that her desire to leave was probably because of the baby, tearfully asked her outright whether Max was the father.

Priya stood there, stunned. What will she say?
