GTA 6 Gets One Final Official Release Date Update

The saga of Grand Theft Auto VI is finally drawing to a close, so after several delays and a bunch of wider drama surrounding its release, we're finally all going to get to play it on November 19. No game's progress has ever been followed quite as closely as this one, and speculation has been rife over the last few years about how exactly it's all going to play out.
Up until a few months ago, there were many doubts that the game would even make this launch date, which had already been pushed back at least twice as far as we know. Then, Rockstar shared their genuinely extensive deep dive over on Netflix, and much of the worry was replaced by genuine excitement from a community that had been very patient indeed.
Now, one more release update has been shared, and it's the traditional curtain raiser that we have all become used to from the developer.
Over on YouTube, Rockstar has officially posted the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer, featuring the new standalone single, “Flower in a Hurricane” from Justice, SZA, Tame Impala and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The trailer runs for around two minutes and shows what are presumably story elements from the game, with the following description:
"Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."
The trailer also reaffirms the November 19 release date for one final time, which even at this stage will come as a relief to the many fans out there. As you might expect, there were plenty of excited comments from fans in response, most of whom can't wait to finally jump in for the first time. In a way, aren't you going to miss the constant discussion about whether GTA 6 will be delayed for a third time? No? Anyone? No, me either. End of an era, though.
"Crazy how we used to play GTA as kids, not knowing those were the good old days. Now we’re older, life’s different, and somehow we’re all coming back for one more ride. GTA was a part of our childhood. VI is a whole different feeling," one comment read.
While another added, "I was a small kid when I played GTA Vice City, but now I'm an old guy in college doing an useless degree."
Whether you're personally interested in playing Grand Theft Auto VI above, it's absolutely the case that there's a big portion of the gaming community who grew up playing the series. For them, this game has been a long time coming, so let's just hope it manages to deliver on all fronts, and everyone gets to be very happy indeed.
