Bien-Aimé Baraza has made history after signing with Atlanta-based record label Quality Control Music, becoming the first African artist to join its roster.

The partnership was announced jointly by the label and the singer on social media, marking a significant milestone in Bien’s international music career.

The deal is being undertaken in collaboration with Courtesy Of LLC. To mark the announcement, Bien released a new single titled “I’ll Be Okay,” which is now available on major music streaming platforms.

Quality Control Music Welcomes Bien

Quality Control Music announced the partnership online, welcoming the Kenyan singer as its first African signing.

“QC goes global. Join us in officially welcoming Kenya’s own @bienaimesol to Quality Control as our first African artist, in partnership with Courtesy Of LLC!” the label stated.

The label’s executives also praised Bien’s musical ability and stage presence, expressing excitement about working with the singer as he expands his international reach.

Quality Control co-founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee described Bien as an experienced performer with the ability to captivate large audiences.

“Bien is a star—seasoned, deeply talented, and the kind of artist who can hold a stadium with just a guitar. It’s so exciting to work with someone that special,” Lee said.

Label Targets Wider Global Audience for Bien

Quality Control chief executive Pierre “P” Thomas said Bien had already established himself through his music, live performances and existing fan base.

Thomas said the partnership would focus on building on those achievements and introducing the singer to a wider international audience.

“Bien has it! He’s got the songs, a great performer, real fan base, and he’s already done a lot on his own. For me, it’s about how much bigger we can expand his global reach. There’s a great opportunity here, and that’s what excites me,” Thomas said.

The partnership offers Bien an opportunity to build on his existing career while tapping into the label’s experience in artist development and international music promotion.

His new single, “I’ll Be Okay,” accompanies the announcement as he begins this latest chapter of his career.

What Is Quality Control Music?

Quality Control Music, also known as QC, is an American record label and entertainment company based in Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded in March 2013 by Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas.

Over the past decade, the company has built a roster featuring prominent hip-hop and urban music acts, including Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty and City Girls. Its management clients have also included Cardi B.

In 2023, QC was acquired by HYBE America in a deal valued at $300 million, expanding its position within the international music industry.

Beyond Music Recording

Quality Control’s operations extend beyond signing artists and releasing music. The company is involved in talent development, recording, music publishing and artist management.

It also works with distribution partners, including Universal Music Group labels such as Motown Records, to support the release and promotion of music.

Beyond its core music business, QC has expanded into other entertainment areas, including sports, film and television production through divisions such as QC Sports and QC Films.

Its experience across music and entertainment provides a platform for artists seeking to reach audiences beyond their home markets.

A New Chapter for Bien’s Career

Bien’s signing marks a new milestone for the Kenyan singer as he seeks to expand his presence in international markets.

His partnership with Quality Control Music brings him into a label associated with established global music acts, while the release of “I’ll Be Okay” introduces the collaboration to listeners.
