Strictly fans are all saying same thing about this part of the BBC dance competition

Never say Strictly Come Dancing fans aren't discerning in their tastes. On Saturday (3 October), Movie Week opened with a bang with a Zootropolis 2-themed routine to Shakira's 'Zoo', before we then got a glimpse of the 15 couples.
Presenter Emma Willis said that she was "jealous" of the cast as she believed that they all looked "incredible" in their costumes, but viewers of the long-running BBC series weren't too impressed by the professionals' routine.
"Think this is one of the worst opening numbers from the Strictly Dancers I have even seen," one viewer wrote on X. Their thoughts were echoed by another user, who posted: "I'm not going to lie this zootopia themed dance is deeply disturbing me."

Eyes tonight were on Strictly's hosts Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe after the trio have come under some criticism over the style of hosting, to see if they switched it up to appease viewers.
Strictly's second week began with a Top Gun take off, with Emma Willis appearing as a tough take no -prisoners hard-as-nails instructor, flanked by co-hosts Josh Widdecombe and Johannes Radebe. But again that didn't land as hoped.
"Quite an opening #strictly" accompanied by a gif of Britney Spears grimacing, wrote another fan. Viewers chimed about the hosting format not quite working for them.
"Why are the BBC bosses still having Josh present #Strictly downstairs with Emma and not upstairs? Have they not seen the massive backlash and realised how pointless Josh is downstairs and how piss poor Johannes is upstairs?" asked a viewer on platform X.
Another echoed their thoughts, writing: "Was really hoping Josh would be upstairs this weekI see #strictly has completely ignored us all begging last week for them to let Emma do the downstairs segment by herself."
"I see Emma has still got Austin Powers stuck next to her. She doesn't need him. JoJo still hopeless upstairs. It's good to see that all the complaints have fallen on deaf ears ...they both need to go. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing," moaned another. Ouch!

There was some praise. "Love Emma & Josh....... That's it #strictly," said a fan on X.
Another fan agreed, saying: "Everyone has really come into their own this week loving the presenting trio #strictly"T
hankfully the judges brought some positive energy to marking the dances this evening.
Graham Hall and Lauren Oakley's waltz to the iconic theme tune from The Godfather could have backfired, but it was a hit with both viewers and judges going to the top of the leader board with 31 points.

Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington's "incredible" American Smooth to I'll Never Love Again from the movie A Star Is Born earned 30, while Emmerdale's Lawrence Robb dressed as a chef with Jowita Przystał's Viennese Waltz to Le Festin from the movie Ratatouille, won them huge praise from the judges.
With typical Anton flourish, he trilled : "Compliments to the chef!"
Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon danced the Charleston to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from the movie Mary Poppins.
"For me it was the biggest improvement of the night," says Motsi, adding "It was super neat...I love to see this side of you."
"Job well done" issued head judge Shirley Ballas, while presenter Emma thanked them for "taking me back to my childhood."
