Sheetal Devi added another gold to her medal haul at Asian Para Games 2026, as she beat Singapore’s Nur Syahidah Alim in the women’s compound event in Nagoya on Thursday.

The 19-year-old world champion defeated Alim 142-139 in a repeat of the Hangzhou 2023 final.

Earlier in the day, she paired up with Toman Kumar to win gold in the compound mixed team event while she clinched silver in compound women’s doubles with Payal Nag on Wednesday.

Alim, who had lost the previous edition’s final by two points, took a four-point lead after the opening two ends.

Sheetal then managed a brilliant comeback, reeling off six 10s, including three Xs - arrows landing closest to the centre of the target - across the next two ends to take a two-point lead.

Sheetal then held her nerve, shooting three 9s (27 points) while Alim managed only 26, with scores of 9, 8 and 9.
