Woman dies in suspected homicide in Perth's south-east, man in police custody

Police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old woman who was found unresponsive at a home in Perth's south-eastern suburbs.
The woman was found with critical injuries by paramedics at a residence on Taree Street in St James last night.
She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where she was declared dead.
St John WA alerted police after being called to the home to help the woman and Homicide Squad detectives have launched an investigation.
WA Police said a 38-year-old man known to the woman was in custody and was assisting them with their enquiries.
