Spanish captain David Ferrer on Monday announced a strong Davis Cup Finals squad led by Carlos Alcaraz.
The seven-time Grand Slam champion will be joined by Rafael Jodar, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Marcel Granollers and Pedro Martinez as Spain looks to win the title for the first time since 2019.
“We have a very good team, without a doubt,” said Ferrer.
“I’m happy to have all the players available and very excited.

“Obviously, we’re one of the favourites to win the Davis Cup, but that’s okay, it’s always better to have the best players.”
Alcaraz, currently ranked world number three, was sidelined for four months with a wrist problem but came back at the US Open and won the Japan Open in Tokyo earlier this month.
The tournament will be held in Bologna from November 24 to 29. Spain, who finished as runner-up last year, begins its campaign with a quarterfinal against Austria, with a potential semifinal against Britain or Germany to follow.
