Tides: Spring tides expected as strong winds hit KZN coast

People heading to the KwaZulu-Natal coast should check the tide times before fishing, boating or visiting the beach as strong winds and waves affect coastal conditions.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for damaging winds and waves along the KwaZulu-Natal coast.

The conditions could disrupt some small harbours and a port, while small vessels face a risk of taking on water and capsizing in some areas. SAWS also warns that the conditions could make navigation difficult along the coast.
