Ciara Walked the Paris Runway Three Times This Weekend — While Pregnant With Baby No. 5

Ciara just turned a fashion occasion into a triple feature.

The singer made a surprise appearance at Junya Watanabe’s Spring 2027 ready-to-wear show in Paris on Saturday (Oct. 3), taking the runway not once, not twice, but three times — all while proudly showing off her baby bump.

Vogue and Ciara revealed the surprise in a joint Instagram post after the show, sharing footage of the 40-year-old musician strutting through the presentation in a series of increasingly dramatic looks. Each outfit centered on purple leggings and a coordinating cropped top detailed with bright pink racing-inspired stripes, paired with a low-slung black belt and red heeled boots.

Ciara’s first look layered a tan trench over the colorful base, topped with a black embellished cap. She switched things up for her second walk, trading the coat for a distressed-looking black leather jacket decorated with dangling hardware and metallic embellishments.

For her final trip down the runway, she went full maximalist. A sparkling helmet-like headpiece became the centerpiece of the look, with long strands of crystals cascading down toward her waist.

While the outfits certainly made a statement, the opportunity to walk down the runway meant quite a lot to Ciara. “I’ve always dreamed of walking the runway in Paris,” she wrote on Instagram following the show. “Junya Watanabe having me walk in your show was a Major Dream Come True!”

Ciara also admitted that she wasn’t sure how the designer would react when she revealed that she was pregnant, worrying that her pregnancy might not align with the creative direction of the collection. Instead, Watanabe welcomed her onto the runway.

“I was honestly afraid that when I mentioned I was with child, you say it doesn’t fit the vision anymore, but you said YES!!” she continued.

The crowd inside the show reportedly responded enthusiastically to Ciara’s surprise appearance, while her husband, Russell Wilson, showed his support in the comments with heart and raised-hands emojis.

The Paris runway moment comes less than a month after Ciara and Wilson announced that they are expecting their fifth child together. The couple shared the news on Sept. 6 with the simple message, “One more person to love.”

Ciara has already been embracing the pregnancy without slowing down. Just days after announcing the news, she took the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, performing Billboard Hot 100 hits “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step” while incorporating a dramatic backbend into the set.

The new baby will join Ciara’s children Future, 12, Sienna, 9, Win, 6, and Amora, 2.
