Disney+ and Hulu released the main trailer and key visual on Wednesday for the webtoon- and web novel-based live-action series The Remarried Empress ahead of its November 4 debut.

The trailer introduces the four main characters through their respective lines of dialogue, highlighting their personalities and relationships. In less than two minutes, the video quickly establishes the dynamics between the central characters.

The first four episodes will debut on Disney+ and Hulu on November 4, and the services will release two new episodes every Wednesday through the series finale on November 25 (for a total of 10 episodes).

The Remarried Empress revolves around Navier, the perfect Empress of the Eastern Empire, who chooses divorce after discovering that her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, plans to replace her with his mistress. Determined to reclaim her status, Navier resolves to become an Empress in another land.

The teaser highlights the strained relationship between Navier (played by Min-A Shin), Sovieshu (Ji-Hoon Ju), Rashta (Se Young Lee), and Heinrey (Jong Suk Lee) as the imperial romance develops into a major political and personal conflict.

Suwon Cho is directing the series with scripts by Geena Yeoh and Choong-Yeol Hyun.

The webtoon has over 2.9 billion global views and has been translated into 10 languages. The series has a strong international following, particularly in Japan.

The webtoon ended in January after a seven-year run, but will return this fall for side stories.

The English version of the The Remarried Empress webtoon is available on WEBTOON. Ize Press is releasing the series in print.
