Legendary British actress Dame Helen Mirren took the opportunity of a guest spot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to remind everyone of her love for Serie A side Lecce.
This is of course hardly a new passion for Mirren, who has a home near Lecce and therefore is a regular in the stands of the Stadio Via Del Mare.

She has been cheering on the Salentini for several years, and is a well-loved figure in the Puglia region since buying the house in 2004.
Turning 81 this summer, the Oscar winner was in Los Angeles for the Emmy Awards, and took part in a skit with Tonight Show host Fallon, where she referenced her status as a “die-hard fan” of Lecce.
Enjoy the clip, and don’t worry, any bad language or gestures have been censored by the American broadcasting system, all of which are probably much less colourful than what you’d hear in the stands of a Serie A match.
