“Nakita ko po si Tico. Parang may dumaan dito sa likod namin na may pumutok. Tapos nakita ko po si Tico, naka—doon sa ilalim ng sasakyan po. Ayun, kaya tumakbo ako, tapos sinabihan ko siya,” a witness said.

A person with disability died after he was hit by an SUV in Las Piñas.

According to Vonne Aquino’s report on “24 Oras,” the victim, identified as Tico, was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

“Nakita ko po si Tico. Parang may dumaan dito sa likod namin na may pumutok. Tapos nakita ko po si Tico, naka—doon sa ilalim ng sasakyan po. Ayun, kaya tumakbo ako, tapos sinabihan ko siya,” a witness said.

The 56-year-old victim had been begging for alms in the community and had been friends with many of the residents.

“Masakit din sa amin ‘yan,” said Jerry Masinas, a friend of the victim.

Police said the victim’s family and the motorist's camp have settled. –NB, GMA News
