The newly rehabilitated EDSA Busway Guadalupe Station is scheduled to reopen on Friday, November 6, 2026, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Monday.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon and Public Works Secretary Giovanni Lopez inspected the station as part of the government's efforts to improve public transportation facilities and make daily commutes more convenient for passengers.

“Iniutos din ni Sec. Dizon ang paglalagay ng maayos na toilet, ceiling fans, at dagdag na mga upuan sa mga istasyon ng busway para sa mga pasahero,” the DOTr said in a statement.

(Sec. Dizon also ordered the installation of proper toilets, ceiling fans, and additional seats at busway stations for passengers.)

The DOTr said the improvements are part of the continuing cooperation between the DOTr and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to ensure the continuity of infrastructure projects and prioritize the welfare of commuters.

According to the DOTr, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. earlier directed the agencies to prioritize commuters and make their daily travels convenient. —KG, GMA News
