Foo Fighters to Open for AC/DC at Rescheduled MetLife Show
Fans in the New York-New Jersey area were certainly disappointed when AC/DC postponed last Friday’s concert at MetLife Stadium just hours before showtime due to an incoming Nor’easter. However, the wait is proving to be worth it, as Foo Fighters have just been tapped to open the rescheduled show this coming Friday, October 2nd.
The Pretty Reckless have been the opening act throughout the tour, but were committed to playing the Aftershock festival in California this Thursday, with singer Taylor Momsen performing at the Power to the People fest in Maryland on Saturday. Earlier this month, Foo Fighters stepped in to support AC/DC in St. Louis when Momsen was booked to perform with Soundgarden at the NFL kickoff in Seattle.
The MetLife show in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will now serve as the final date on AC/DC’s North American “PWR/UP Tour,” following a concert tonight, September 29th, in Philadelphia. Tickets to the two remaining shows are available here.
