MANILA, Philippines — The impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday was canceled, the Senate impeachment court has announced.

In an advisory signed by clerk of court Atty. Renato Bantug, the next trial date will be on Thursday.

“Upon the order of the Impeachment Court, the trial scheduled tomorrow, 30 September 2026, is hereby cancelled. The trial shall continue on Thursday, 1 October 2026 at 10:00 a.m.,” the advisory read.
