Okoye really sweet, Cardi B says after third sighting

American rapper Cardi B has described Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye as “really sweet” and “very kind,” fuelling further speculation about a romantic relationship between the pair after they were spotted together for a third time, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The latest sighting took place in Italy on Thursday, September 3, hours after Okoye’s club side, Udinese, came from behind to beat Venezia 2-1 in the Coppa Italia round of 32.

Cardi B had earlier described the goalkeeper in glowing terms while dining with a group of friends at a waterfront restaurant in Venice.

“He was really sweet. When you see him on social media, he looks very strict and stern, but he is very kind. I hope to see more of him,” she said.

The pair were first seen together at the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week, where they sat next to each other before being spotted chatting on a balcony at a private event.

Days later, they were seen together again at the Venice dinner, and their third sighting in Italy has kept the speculation alive among fans.

Despite the repeated appearances across three cities in Italy and France since the rumours began in July, neither Cardi B nor Okoye has confirmed a romantic relationship, with other people present at each of the outings.

Okoye, who plays as a goalkeeper for Udinese and the Super Eagles, was born in Dusseldorf to a Nigerian father and a German mother. He has drawn increasing attention off the pitch this year, including appearances at Paris Fashion Week and the Formula One British Grand Prix, alongside the ongoing rumours involving the American rapper.

For now, both parties are yet to address the speculation directly, leaving fans to continue drawing their own conclusions each time they are seen together.
