MANILA, Philippines — Rainy weather will prevail over parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao today due to the intertropical convergence zone, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms would be felt in Visayas, Mindanao, Sorsogon, Masbate and Palawan.

Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the trough of tropical cyclone Champi, formerly Rosal, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Apayao and Babuyan Islands.

Rosal exited the Philippine area of responsibility around 10 a.m. yesterday, moving towards the East China Sea.
