Kylie Jenner to star in and executive produce whodunnit TV thriller series from Kim Kardashian

Kylie Jenner is taking on her first major acting role, headlining and executive producing a new Hulu whodunnit thriller developed alongside her sister Kim Kardashian, according to Deadline.
Under the working title of Bachelorette Weekend, the drama is in the final stages of a straight-to-series deal at the Disney-owned streamer.
But the series will not only see Jenner taking on a role, she will also be executive producing Bachelorette Weekend with Kardashian, who was sent a spec script of the series initially in hopes of producing.
The new role marks a significant step up for Jenner, who is arguably one of the most-watched members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. As well as being a reality TV show personality, Jenner is best known for being the founder and owner of her own cosmetics company named Kylie Cosmetics.

Until now, in the scripted world, Jenner has only been a cameo player on screen. She more recently appeared as an exaggerated version of herself in A24's satirical film The Moment alongside Charli xcx.
However, in Bachelorette Weekend, she's set to get into a meatier role as a bride who is found murdered in a pool on her celebratory weekend away.
The premise leans into the increasingly popular murder-mystery format and will see her closest girlfriends be the prime suspects in the case. Jenner's character has been described as "the North Star of the story, which pieces together the events leading up to the killing". As for just how much she'll be in the series seeing as her character gets killed off, we'll have to wait and see.

The project is reported to be based on an unpublished novel by Flora Collins, author of Nanny Dearest and A Small Affair, but has been created and written by author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver. Oliver's previous work includes the bestselling young-adult novels Before I Fall and the Delirium trilogy.
Jenner's steer into acting isn't all that surprising seeing as she has spent most of her life in front of the cameras – just in a very different way. It seems as though she has been perhaps inspired by her elder sister Kim, who stars in and executive produces legal drama All's Fair, headlines the upcoming Netflix film The Fifth Wheel and executive produces the Netflix YA drama Calabasas.
