Waskita Beton Precast Partners with China’s Hunan Jiangong and PT Adhi Industri to Optimize Precast Plant WSBP Cibitung

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk is taking steps to optimize its assets by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hunan Jiangong Concrete Co., Ltd., and PT Adhi Industri regarding the utilization of Precast Plant WSBP Cibitung. This agreement marks the initial step toward exploring opportunities to utilize the facility more productively while unlocking the asset’s economic potential.

Under this agreement, Waskita Beton Precast and both partners will explore several alternative schemes for utilizing Precast Plant WSBP Cibitung, including facility leasing, operational cooperation, and other forms of strategic partnership.

The cooperation involves Hunan Jiangong Concrete Co., Ltd., a Chinese company engaged in building construction, road and bridge infrastructure, and readymix concrete production, as well as PT Adhi Industri, which operates in the construction and industrial sectors. The involvement of both partners is part of Waskita Beton Precast’s efforts to explore opportunities to optimize Precast Plant WSBP Cibitung through collaboration that aligns with the capabilities and needs of all parties.

The WSBP Cibitung Precast Plant has a production capacity of up to 325,000 metric tons per year and is capable of producing various types of precast concrete, such as PC-I girders, full slabs, square piles, and corrugated concrete sheet piles (CCSP). Throughout its operations, this facility has supplied precast concrete products for various infrastructure projects in Indonesia, including the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, the Bekasi–Cawang–Kampung Melayu Toll Road, the Cimanggis–Cibitung Toll Road, and various other projects.

Asset optimization through an appropriate cooperation scheme is expected to improve the facility’s productivity while creating opportunities for asset-based revenue for Waskita Beton Precast. This initiative is also part of the company’s efforts to enhance the effective utilization of its assets.
