LUCENA CITY — Two motorcycle riders died in a road accident in Antipolo City in Rizal on Wednesday, the Calabarzon police said.

A 24-year-old man was driving the motorcycle with a 29-year-old woman riding pillion along a downhill curved portion of the road early Wednesday morning.

Based on CCTV footage from the area, the motorcycle appeared to have overshot a curve, causing the driver to lose control. The motorcycle then skidded before crashing into a tree and a roadside post.

Both riders sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead on arrival at the nearest hospital./coa
