Unity Cup Star Replaces Bayern Munich Ajayi In Nigeria Squad For Russia Friendly

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has made a slight change to the squad that will play against Russia in an international friendly game on the 6th of October, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Like we exclusively reported the coach will use the bulk of the players he intends to use in his role as the U23 coach for the upcoming Los Angeles Olympic qualifiers.
Bayern Munich left back Richard Ajayi who was his first choice option at left back won’t be available for the game due to immigration issues, owing to his current status in Germany where he fled to due to the war in Ukraine.
Chelle has replaced him with Enugu Rangers left back Kenneth Igboke who impressed during the summer Unity Cup tournament, where Nigeria emerged as champions with wins over Zimbabwe and Jamaica respectively.
He was made aware of his invitation to the team last week, and will now submit the necessary documents for him to be a part of the travelling party to Russia.
