Palmisani rewarded with new Frosinone contract to 2031 after Como heroics

Frosinone rewarded Italy Under-21 international goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani with a new contract after his heroic performance in the 2-0 victory over Como, increasing Juventus regrets.
The shot-stopper was easily Serie A Man of the Match in yesterday’s encounter at the Stadio Benito Stirpe, which inflicted the first defeat of the season on Cesc Fabregas.
Palmisani impressed at Frosinone
“I didn’t know their goalkeeper before this, but if I was Roberto Mancini, I’d think about him,” noted Como coach Fabregas to DAZN Italia after the game.
A product of the Frosinone youth academy, he celebrated his 22nd birthday in June and is in the Italy Under-21 squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Armenia on October 1 and Poland on October 5.
Before setting off to begin work at the Coverciano training ground, Palmisani was rewarded with a new and improved contract with Frosinone.
It will now run to June 2031.
He was one of the key figures behind their promotion from Serie B last season, keeping 15 clean sheets and parrying 80 per cents of the efforts on target.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus had been in talks to buy Palmisani this summer for just €8m, but opted to look elsewhere instead.
His value has now easily tripled thanks to these Serie A performances with Frosinone.
