Ever since it was confirmed that David Corenswet will be returning with ‘Man of Tomorrow,' fans have been elated over the news and have been waiting for updates about the 2027 film. One major change coming in the new film is a brand new costume for Superman.

Director James Gunn has shared an update after a fan asked him about it online.

Recently on Threads, a DC fan asked director James Gunn, who is working on ‘Man of Tomorrow,' when fans can expect news about the new costume update. Gunn cheekily replied with a laughing face emoji, sharing that he wished he could stop sharing details about the movie until its release. Without sharing too much, he shared, “If I could just drop it in theatres without showing anything, I would.”Gunn’s comment confirms that while many changes are underway in the upcoming film, fans will have to wait a long time for substantial news.

A core storyline for Superman has always involved him and his nemesis, Lex Luthor, owner of LexCorp. However, ‘Man of Tomorrow’ will explore a brand new take of their relationship as the two are going to be teaming up to fight a common evil between them, Brainiac. Actor Nicholas Hoult will be reprising his role as Lex.

Along with that, he will be joined by German actor and rapper Lars Eidinger. Some of his well-known works include ‘The Last Execution,' ‘Babylon Berlin,' and ‘The Light.

’Similarly to Corenswet appearing in ‘Supergirl’ in a brief cameo appearance, Milly Alcock, who plays Kal-El’s sister from Krypton, will be making a cameo appearance in the 2027 film as well. On top of that,

will also reprise her role as Lois Lane. Some of the other returning cast members include Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, and Xolo Maridueña as Blue Beetle. ‘Hit Man’ and ‘Splitsville’ star Adria Arjona has also been attached to the project; however, not a lot of details have been shared about her role in ‘Man of Tomorrow.' The film does not have a confirmed release date yet; however, according to various reports, it is slated to be released sometime next year.
