We’re just two days away from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake hitting our screens in the only major video game release in November that dares to challenge the goliath that is GTA 6.

But to celebrate, Londoners can rejoice as Nintendo is hosting a midnight launch event on Wednesday 4 November ahead of the game’s official release on Thursday 5 November.

The event will take place at the Nintendo store in Argos Tottenham Court Road, London, and those who buy the game there and then will receive a variety of Nintendo themed goodies up for grabs.

We can hear the jovial Kokiri Forest theme already. Nintendo

Rewards include a Nintendo 64 box replica which features an inner tray and slip case designed to fit the game, alongside an Ocarina keyring.

These collectibles are certainly a nice touch, and nostalgic nod to the Nintendo 64 which is the platform the original game came out on in November 1998.

The Nintendo branch of the Tottenham Court Road Argos store was meant to be temporary, a fun pop-up for fans to enjoy for a couple of months in 2026. Much like other permanent stores across Japan and the US, it sells exclusive merchandise, consoles and of course, games.

However, as more Nintendo events like this appear, there’s a chance the pop-up could hopefully be here to stay.

To go alongside the release of the new game, back in September for the Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo also announced an Anniversary Edition Switch 2 and Pro Controller.

The newly-themed console and Pro Controller are both available to buy now, but you might have to join the back of the queue with stock being extremely limited thanks to extreme demand from fans.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is out on 5 November exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2.
