Annie Hamilton Signs With CAA (Exclusive)
Annie Hamilton, the screenwriter, director and actress, has signed with CAA for representation.
Her acting credits include The Wolf of Snow Hollow, Dance Camp and Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Increasingly active on the writing front, New York City-based Hamilton wrote Three Times a Lady for A24, which Margot Robbie’s Lucky Chap banner will produce and Rebecca Hall is on board to direct.
Hamilton is also writing and is set to direct the semi-autobiographical feature Susannah’s Still Alive, with Emma Stone’s Fruit Tree banner to produce. And she is penning the original feature All The Married Men for Jonah Hill, Richard Plepler and Apple.
And Hamilton will share writing duties on an untitled feature with Jenn Kaytin Robinson for Sydney Sweeney at Sony, according to CAA. Her screenwriting in part builds on a social media platform presence, which as a digital creator has her putting out online confessional comedy and other video content. Hamilton has around 40,000 followers on X and another 75,000 on Instagram.
Hamilton on screen also appeared opposite Jonah Hill, Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz in Apple TV+’s Outcome, a dark comedy about a Hollywood star (Reeves) facing his demons and directed by Hill; and Beachcomber, written and directed by Clay Tatum and Whitmer Thomas.
Hamilton gained recognition in summer 2022 with a sold-out one-woman show Looking for Papa, at New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre. She is managed by Jake Fleischman at Untitled Entertainment, and is also represented by attorneys Harris Hartman and Kiley Wong at Sloane Offer Weber and Dern LLP.
