Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration: Release date, card list and where to buy today

It's the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, and as part of that, we're getting ready for the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration!

Since the beginning, the TCG has been such a massive part of Pokémania, and continues to be one of the most popular aspects of the series.

So, if you're excited to see when the 30th Celebration TCG expansion will release, what cards are included, and how to go about pre-ordering them, here's what you need to know!

Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration was released today (16 September 2026).

This is a big deal, as it's actually the first time a TCG expansion will release simultaneously worldwide, instead of coming to the rest of the world several months after Japan.

This will be followed by more releases throughout the rest of the year.

What to expect from Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration

The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration will include 150 total cards, including secret rares.

Like the 2021 Celebrations expansion, it will also include 30 classic cards from across the history of TCG.

These special cards will feature a '30' Pikachu stamp and foil finish, but will not be tournament legal.

Every booster pack will include six foil cards – five foil cards and one foil Basic Energy – as well as a Pokémon TCG Live code card, and one of 30 collectible Pikachu illustration cards.

Each Pikachu card is illustrated by a different artist, will have numbering to denote which in the series it is, and will have both regular and foil variants.

The expansion will also include a new card rarity called "Futuristic rare" with artwork from Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN. According to the announcement, "each Futuristic rare card will depict Pokémon in striking artwork evocative of hope toward an unknown future".

You can also buy an Elite Trainer Box, which contains one full-art promo card, nine booster packs and premium accessories.
