Inter wing-back Djed Spence has been included in the England national team squad for November’s Nations League fixtures: His first call-up since completing his €35m transfer to the Nerazzurri over the summer.
Spence earns first England call-up of 2026-27
Spence has been included in Thomas Tuchel’s 25-man squad for England’s upcoming Nations League fixtures against Croatia on Thursday, November 12 and Spain on Sunday, November 15. He is the only Serie A representative in the latest Three Lions squad.

This is Spence’s first call-up to the England side since the 2026 World Cup, where he helped his nation to the semi-final and an eventual third-place finish, and his first call-up since his €35m transfer from Tottenham to Inter over the summer.
It took a while for the 26-year-old to regain full fitness after an extended post-World Cup break: His first appearance for the Nerazzurri did not come until after the September-October international break, in a 3-0 Serie A win over Parma on October 10.
He is called back into the England squad despite the fact that he has made just one Serie A start after 10 rounds of fixtures so far this season. He has made six appearances across all competitions so far for Inter, three in Serie A and three in the Champions League for a total of 272 minutes.
For the final time in 2026… 🥁
