Asian Games 2026: Full hockey schedule — Indian teams in action, start times in IST

There will be plenty of expectations from both the Indian men’s and women’s hockey teams to bag gold at the upcoming Asian Games, starting on September 19.

While the men’s team is the defending champion, the women’s team finished third to claim bronze in the 2023 edition in Hangzhou.

The Indian men’s hockey team has been slotted into Pool A alongside Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Bangladesh in the upcoming Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.

Defending champion India has been kept apart from arch-rival Pakistan, which is in Pool B in the 12-team tournament.

The Indian women’s team is in Pool B alongside host Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Uzbekistan.

All the matches will be played at Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium in Kakamigahara.
