‘I’m Convinced’ — Durosinmi Confident Genk Can Challenge For Belgian Title
Rafiu Durosinmi believes Genk have what it takes to challenge for the Belgian Pro League title this season, Completesports.com reports.
The Smurfs currently sit ninth in the league standings with nine points from six matches, having recorded two wins, three draws and one defeat.
Despite their slow start to the campaign, Durosinmi remains confident that Genk can climb the table and compete for top honours.
Durosinmi Upbeat On Genk’s Title Ambition
“This is absolutely not where we want to be,” Durosinmi told Walfoot.
“I am convinced that we will soon return to the top of the rankings. As a team, we just have to do better.
“We don’t want to be in this position, and we don’t want to continue drawing games. We always want to play for the three points because our goal is to fight for the title.”
Teammates Attitude Key
The forward also praised the attitude and commitment of his teammates during training and matches.
“I see the group we have. Everyone is ready to give their all in every training session and every match. Why couldn’t we compete with the teams fighting for the title? We are also capable of it,” he added.
