Newly reinstated Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said he has invited Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) Gabriel Go to join the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

During the launch of the DOTr’s augmentation program, Dizon was joined by Go, the chief of the MMDA’S Special Operations Group – Task Force for Road Clearing.

“Si Director Gab Go ng MMDA, na, by the way, nirerecruit ko na sa DOTr, sana makasama siya sa DOTr. Kilala niyo naman si Gab,” Dizon said.

(Director Gab Go of the MMDA, by the way, I am recruiting him to the DOTr, I hope to have him here in the DOTr. You know Gab.)

Dizon did not say whether Go will join the agency. GMA News has reached out to Go for his comment.

Last July, Go went viral for a clearing operation where he scolded a male teacher for failing to wear a helmet while on a motorcycle.

As a result, the MMDA suspended Go following concerns raised by individuals and groups. —Jean Mangaluz/LDF, GMA News
