KUALA LUMPUR: A man was found dead after he was believed to have fallen from an apartment in Cheras here yesterday afternoon.

Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report on the incident at 3.46pm.

"A team from the Forensic Unit deployed to the scene found the victim lying face down and he was pronounced dead," he said in a statement.

Naazron said the victim was a man in his 30s who was believed to have been living in a unit on the seventh floor of the block.

He said an examination of the victim's body found no evidence of foul play.

He said the body was taken to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HCTM), for a post-mortem examination.

"The case has been classified as sudden death, while the cause of the incident is still under investigation," he said.
