Logansport’s Magee captures Times Athlete of the Week 2 football poll
Logansport quarterback Kollin Magee garnered enough votes recently to win the seventh annual Shreveport Times online poll for Football Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and Silmon and Cosse Orthodontics.
He joins past winners that include Captain Shreve's Gabe Lockett, Ruston QB Sam Hartwell and Calvary's Osborne Demery.

Magee received 5,571 (83%) of the 6,945 votes cast in the online poll to top second place Braxxton Black of Parkway, who finished with 797 votes (12%).
Magee will receive a backpack, a boxed lunch combo and some additional swag courtesy of Raising Cane's and Cosse and Silmon.
Magee was chosen because of his performance the previous week or because his name was submitted by his coach. The Times poll is posted each week at shreveporttimes.com with a new slate of student-athletes in Shreveport area high school football.
In Friday's 62-0 blowout victory over Delta Charter Friday night, Magee completed 6-of-8 passes for 121 yards and two TDs in a restricted playing time. He has directed his team to a 4-0 record on the season.

The Times online only poll runs through Sunday. The poll includes northwest Louisiana athletes competing in volleyball, cross country, swimming, cheerleading, basketball, soccer, wrestling, powerlifting, indoor and outdoor track, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, bowling, gymnastics and fishing while those sports are in season, along with a football-only poll during the football season.
