Hollyoaks and Home and Away star Kyle Pryor is joining another soap - but there's a twist

Translate

After popping up in Cheshire and Summer Bay, Kyle Pryor is now heading to the Illinois city of Salem for his latest role, with the actor confirmed to be joining the cast of American soap Days of Our Lives.

Known for his previous roles on Hollyoaks and Home and Away, the actor will play Dominic Marino in the long-running serial drama, with Deadline reporting that his first appearance will come during the episode on 2 November.

Dominic's arrival is very much anticipated by fans, with the character being the son of Deidre Hall's Marlena Evans. It's unclear what role he will play upon his arrival in Salem, but we do know a few things about the character.

The much-discussed figure is said to be an eccentric billionaire owing to his management of a hedge fund, with Xander Kiriakis having some interaction with the new character after selling his mansion to him.

Pryor is said to have started filming for the part at the tailend of 2025, though it's currently unclear for how long he will be a part of the cast. Either way, it's sure to be a dramatic time in Illinois!

The actor found fame on Australian soap Home and Away, where he played Nate Cooper for four years. After departing in 2017, he joined Channel 4's Hollyoaks, where he played Laurie Shelby.

His stay in Cheshire was relatively brief, with the character being killed off in August 2019 after suffering a head injury. Pryor subsequently had a guest part on ITV's Emmerdale in 2022, where he played Darren Walker.

He still has a small connection to Hollyoaks, as he's been in a relationship with former co-star Anna Passey - who plays Sienna Blake - since 2019. Upon his casting in Emmerdale, Passey congratulated her partner.

In an interview from 2023, Passey shared that the couple had 'accidentally' begun their own candle-making business, with Pryor having developed the hobby during his time in Australia.

Days of Our Lives streams on Peacock. Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
