GPCL reforms operations to boost growth

Translate

The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) is restructuring its operations to expand its West African market presence and improve commercial performance.

The reforms include establishing a commercial sales department, introducing a digital platform for gazette applications, upgrading infrastructure and extending services to 24 hours.

Nana Kwasi Boaitey, GPCL's Managing Director, announced this at the Government Accountability Series in Accra on Monday.

“We are doing everything possible to ensure the company stays solid, viable, and vibrant,” he said.

Mr Boaitey said the changes had reduced the processing time for gazette publications from eight weeks to three weeks under the normal service, and from one week to three days under the premium service.

He said the Company would soon receive modern security printing equipment to expand its capacity to produce specialised documents.

“And with that security press, we should be able to even compete in the areas of the printing of cheque books, and maybe, passports,” he stated.

Mr Boaitey said management was committed to transforming the Company into a commercially viable institution.

“Hopefully, if we continue on this trajectory, the Company should be able to post significant performances going forward,” he assured.
