A torn sight-screen caused an unusual stoppage on Day Two of the Ranji Trophy match between Andhra and Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.
Strong winds blew across the ground, tearing the sight-screen and forcing play to stop. Ground staff installed a replacement, but the process resulted in a 35-minute delay. Chattisgarh was far from pleased with how the situation was handled and raised the issue with the stadium management.
Play resumed briefly before the players left for lunch. Chhattisgarh was 96 for four, with Amandeep Khare and Rahul Pradhan at the crease.
