India’s Harmeet Desai and Yashaswini Ghorpade won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles at the Asian Table Tennis Championships on Friday.

Harmeet and Yashaswini lost 0-3 to Japan’s Sora Matsushima and Miwa Harimoto. Earlier, the pair had advanced to the last-four stage after defeating South Korea’s Park Ganghyeon and Lee Daeun 3-2 in the quarterfinal.

India’s other mixed doubles pair, Payas Jain and Syndrela Das crashed out after losing 0-3 to China’s Yi Chen and Huang Youzheng.

Harmeet and Yashaswini entered the tournament on the back of a disappointing Asian Games 2026, where neither paddler managed to win a medal.
