MANILA, Philippines — Security Bank executive Leslie Cham unveiled the 2022-2025 year-end balances of two companies linked to Vice President Sara Duterte, CALE 88 Food Corp. and Gencorp Industries Inc.

Senator-judge Francis Pangilinan asked Cham, who appeared as a witness in Duterte’s impeachment trial on Wednesday, if CALE 88 and Gencorp had accounts with Security Bank.

Cham answered in the affirmative, revealing that CALE 88 had two closed accounts, while Gencorp has eight active accounts with the bank.

Last Monday, Anti-Money Laundering Council Executive Director Ronel Buenaventura, who was also a witness, confirmed that CALE 88 had transactions with Chinese companies amounting to P319 million in total. /mcm
