Milwaukee Brewers: Pat Murphy gives intriguing NLDS roster updates on Kyle Harrison and Logan Henderson
To the surprise of absolutely no one, the Milwaukee Brewers announced that Jacob Misiorowski will start Game One for them in the National League Division Series. Milwaukee, of course, is awaiting to see who their opponent will be as they will play the winners of the Wild Card Series between the Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres.
Over the course of the rest of the week, the Brewers will be practicing to stay sharp and trying to determine which players they will carry onto their NLDS roster. According to manager Pat Murphy, there could be a couple of surprises.

Logan Henderson may start Game 2 for the Milwaukee Brewers, and Kyle Harrison could make the NLDS roster

For weeks, it has been assumed by fans that Logan Henderson will be Milwaukee's Game Two starter in whatever postseason series they play. And indeed, Murphy said that is the plan for the NLDS, but added it's "subject to change."
Henderson made 18 starts this year, and went 11-3 with a 2.47 ERA and 0.84 WHIP. Through 23 career starts, he has yet to allow more than three earned runs in any game.
Why Henderson would not start Game Two is anyone's guess. Perhaps Murphy is just trying to keep either perspective opponent guessing.

The other thing that the Brewers manager said that raised some eyebrows was concerning struggling left-handed pitcher Kyle Harrison. When asked if he would have a spot on the NLDS roster, Murphy said, "I think he could definitely grab a spot here."
To be clear, Murphy said that Harrison has to show him and the front office in practice this week that he has what they are looking for as they determine who will and will not be playing in the NLDS. Harrison lost his starting rotation job after he suddenly lost the ability to get batters out. He did pitch two scoreless innings and recorded four strikeouts in his final appearance of the regular season, but finished the year 11-5 with a 4.20 ERA.
In six games (two starts) in September, Harrison had a 13.50 ERA.
Needless to say, if Milwaukee includes him on the postseason roster, they better be sure he has it figured out.
