Widow's Bay star Matthew Rhys confirmed for new "chilling" Audible thriller opposite Bridgerton favourite

Widow’s Bay star Matthew Rhys is set to lead the voice cast of a brand-new thriller coming to Audible, titled All She Wants for Christmas.

The new audio drama by Lisa Jewell is described as a "chilling tale of obsession, ambition, and the dangerous space between truth and fiction".

Fresh off winning two lead acting Emmys at the ceremony on Monday (14 September), Rhys will star as a bitter husband at the centre of the tale, Fiddy, who grows resentful after his wife, Louise (Luther’s Ruth Wilson), becomes a best-selling author and has an affair with his younger “office wife”, Kate (Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor).

But, as the synopsis teases: "The thing is, Kate has been watching them both for years. She knows their secrets, their weaknesses, their breaking points. She's been weaving herself into their lives, one Christmas at a time.

"Then Louise falls mysteriously ill. A disturbing manuscript arrives at her publisher's office. And the truth becomes impossible to untangle."

All She Wants for Christmas will become available exclusively on Audible from 2 November 2026, and is available to pre-order now. It will also be released simultaneously in French, Spanish, Italian and German, with different local talent narrating.
