KUALA LUMPUR: A Form Two student who died after allegedly being bullied at a school hostel in Kuala Pilah was beaten with a rubber hose by two senior students before he was found unconscious.

The 14-year-old victim, Muhammad Idlan Fareeq Shahril, was struck repeatedly on the soles of his feet and body with a rubber hose after he was allegedly caught vaping.

Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the two Form Four students were believed to have assaulted the victim after ordering him to retrieve the hose from a bathroom before taking him to two hostel rooms.

Alzafny said they have recorded statements from 69 witnesses, while a post-mortem examination has yet to determine the cause of death.

Following investigations, five other students came forward and told police that they too were bullied by one of the suspects in custody.

Below are some of the crimes reported this week.

TEENAGER ALLEGEDLY FORCED TO VAPE BEFORE RAPE

In Petaling, an 18-year-old woman claimed she was forced by a man to vape until she lost consciousness before being raped.

Brickfields district police chief Assistant Commissioner Hoo Chang Hook said the incident allegedly occurred at a residence at about 5am last Saturday.

The victim claimed she regained consciousness about two hours later and found herself undressed, with pain in her private parts, prompting her to suspect she had been raped.

Police are tracking down the suspect.

MAN SHOT AT PETROL STATION

In Bidor, Perak, a 41-year-old man was injured after being shot in the shoulder by two armed men at a petrol station.

Perak police chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin said the victim was at the petrol station in a Toyota Land Cruiser when a black Honda City stopped in front of his vehicle.

Two men believed to be armed then got out and fired several shots at the vehicle before fleeing. Five other people inside the Land Cruiser escaped unhurt.

Police recovered a 9mm Luger bullet, four shell casings and bullet fragments at the scene, while CCTV footage from several locations is being reviewed.

DIRTY DANCING IN THE CITY

In Kuala Lumpur, four foreign male dancers were detained following an Immigration Department raid on an entertainment outlet in Jalan Klang Lama.

Immigration director-general Datuk Zakaria Shaaban said the premises catered exclusively to male customers, who were charged RM780 per table and entertained by local and foreign male dancers.

He said investigations did not rule out the possibility that arrangements for "extra services" were made between dancers and customers outside the premises.

The four men — three Chinese nationals and a Filipino aged between 21 and 31 — were detained for 14 days under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

Three local men were also issued notices to assist investigations, with the findings to be shared with police's Criminal Investigation Department D7 division.
