Pressure mounts on Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti after two defeats in the last three Serie A matches, and before a meeting with Napoli in Turin.
Tomorrow, October 30, marks the first anniversary of Spalletti’s appointment as Juventus coach, but the Old Lady’s tactician is already under scrutiny after the first nine games of the 2026-27 campaign.
Will Juventus sack Spalletti?

Several names are being linked to the Juventus job, from Stefano Pioli to Paulo Sousa and Antonio Conte, but currently, club directors have not held formal talks with any potential Spalletti replacement.
However, Wednesday’s 2-0 loss against Genoa at Marassi only deepened the club’s concerns, especially a few days before a home game against Napoli at the Allianz Stadium.
Spalletti is under scrutiny, but surely isn’t the only one to be blamed for poor results in the current campaign.
“Saying someone is playing against their coach would be wrong,” Gazzetta wrote.

“However, it’s true to say that many are playing without enthusiasm or with their minds clouded by negative thoughts.”
The pink paper echoes ex-Italy striker Paolo Di Canio, who argued that the Bianconeri have “no soul.”
Gazzetta confirms that Juventus owner John Elkann remains on good terms with Spalletti, although results must fuel trust in the coach.

Juventus have earned only 14 points in nine league games, have already lost three, and sit eighth, 11 points behind Inter and Lazio at the top of the standings. In this scenario, surely Spalletti and Juventus can’t afford another defeat in the next match.
