KUANTAN, Oct 7 — The Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK) and Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (Polisas) will provide full cooperation to assist the investigation into the death of a student who was believed to have been killed by her boyfriend early yesterday morning.

In a statement today, JPPKK said it and Polisas would leave it entirely to the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the death of the female student from the Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Polisas.

“JPPKK and Polisas will continue to provide due attention, support and assistance to the deceased’s family. Any further information will be announced from time to time,” it said.

JPPKK also expressed its condolences to the deceased’s family and urged all parties not to speculate or disseminate unverified information, as well as to respect the privacy and feelings of the deceased’s family.

Yesterday, Kuantan police chief ACP Ashari Abu Samah was reported to have said that police received a MERS 999 call at about 4.32 am from the victim’s boyfriend, who informed them of the incident.

Ashari was reported to have said that the victim was found lying on a bed in a room on the ground floor of the house, while a forensic specialist from Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) found signs of pressure on the woman’s neck. — Bernama
