Cruz Beckham, the 21-year-old musician and youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has just released his debut EP, Wear & Tear, recorded with his band Cruz Beckham And The Breakers.

The six-track project comes with a music video for every single song, marking a genuine milestone in the young musician’s career.

Speaking to Official Charts, Cruz didn’t hold back on who deserves the credit: his girlfriend of two years, Jackie Apostel.

“She’s honestly had such an impact on my career already, and it’s only the beginning,” he said. “I feel like I wouldn’t be on tour without her. I wouldn’t have met the band without her and she inspires me every day to be the best version of myself.”

Why this feels bigger than a typical shoutout

Jackie, a 30-year-old singer-songwriter in her own right, has quietly been by Cruz’s side through some major moments this year already, including a Miami trip to the World Cup that sparked engagement rumours back in June, after fans spotted a ring on her finger in a photo the couple shared.

Neither has confirmed anything since, but this EP release, and the very public credit Cruz just gave her, suggests their relationship is only growing stronger behind the scenes.

What’s next for Cruz

Off the back of the release, Cruz has four UK festival shows lined up with The Breakers, including Rock’N’Roll Circus in Norwich and Sheffield, plus a stop at Reading & Leeds.

There’s something genuinely sweet about an artist crediting his partner so openly for his own success, rather than keeping that kind of thing private. It says a lot about where they’re at as a couple.
