Coronation Street reveals first look at Kit's emotional hair shave scene

In the scene, Kit tries to be funny about it, joking that Brody is making a terrible barber by not making the typical idle chit-chat you usually get.
But when the young lad asks if he's got any trips planned, Kit brings the mood down by saying his next trip might be in a coffin.
When Brody got upset, Kit promised him that dying was "not high up on my to-do list".
After Brody has finished with Kit's hair, he asked his dad if he was scared, and the copper tried to remain pragmatic.

"Nah. No point is there?" Kit said. "Whether I'm bricking it or not, it's gonna do its thing. I'm just sorry what it means for you. Only thing I've given you is set of faulty genes."
Brody said he'd get tested when he was 18, but Kit wondered if all that would make him do is worry.
"As a wise man once said, 'No point is there?'"
Kit has found it incredibly difficult dealing with his cancer diagnosis so far, but with Brody's more positive attitude, will it become even a little bit easier for him?

Speaking about the scene previously, Brody actor Ryan Mulvey exclusively told Digital Spy: "I think it's a lot and I think it's a really beautiful scene.
"I think mostly because he and Kit have quite a frosty exterior towards each other, even though they've warmed and warmed up, but still they're quite like trying to be the alpha man in that kind of thing. So I feel like the walls haven't really been broken down."
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX and YouTube.
