Natanael Cano has postponed the remaining dates of his Natanael Cano Vol. 1 Tour in Mexico, according to a statement provided to Billboard Español by his team Thursday (Oct. 8).

“After careful consideration, Natanael Cano is postponing the remaining dates of the Natanael Cano Vol. 1 tour to focus on his health and well-being,” the statement reads. “We understand this news will be disappointing to fans who planned to attend, and we sincerely apologize for the impact of this decision. Tickets will be refunded through the original point of purchase.”

The artist’s team did not provide additional details about his health. It also asked that Cano and his family’s privacy be respected during this time.

“We’re grateful for the support and understanding of his fans who always stand by him,” the statement concludes.

The tour began Sept. 18 with two consecutive sold-out shows at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros. The trek was scheduled to continue in Mérida (Oct. 17), Boca del Río (Oct. 30), Puebla (Oct. 31); Toluca (Nov. 6), Oaxaca (Nov. 7), Monterrey (Nov. 27), Torreón (Nov. 28) and Acapulco, where the tour was set to conclude Dec. 5, among other dates.

The tour is named after Cano’s latest album, Natanael Cano, Vol. 1, which debuted at No. 4 on Top Regional Mexican Albums and No. 10 on Top Latin Albums. The 15-track project includes “Mar Azul,” “La Cherokee” and covers of Cristian Castro’s “Por Amarte Así” and Jeanette’s “Frente a Frente.”
