Final Fantasy 10 Officially Returns November 20 In New 25th Anniversary Collection

Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Telling the story of a group of adventurers and their quest to defeat a dangerous monster known as Sin, Final Fantasy X first released back in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. Following star athlete Tidus, we join him as his hometown is destroyed, and he must set out on a quest to destroy the monster who did it. Joined by Yuna and other iconic Final Fantasy heroes, the tenth installment in the Square Enix series became yet another hit, and now, over two decades on, it is still remembered fondly.

Now with the Final Fantasy franchise as a whole celebrating its 40th anniversary, fans have been treated to a myriad of announcements throughout the year, and that is not to mention the upcoming release of Final Fantasy Resonance, which is set to launch in just 24 hours.

Our very own Chris Carter was lucky enough to receive an early copy, and awarded the latest Final Fantasy installment a near-perfect 9/10 in his review. He wrote:

Even after finishing the game, I was floored to see that there was at least one super dungeon, several major named superbosses to take down, and multiple other elite enemies populated a few innocuous caves. I genuinely felt a sense of wonder looking around the game world, and with a ton of collectibles to find (arguably too many), there's even more there for completionists.

Despite a few missteps in the story's pacing, Final Fantasy Resonance fulfills its promise of delivering classic JRPG gameplay for a modern era. It has plenty of quality-of-life options you'd expect with a retro tint, and tacticians should enjoy the sheer breadth Resonance offers when building your perfect party.

However, Final Fantasy Resonance is not the only release to look forward to this year, as next month will welcome a highly anticipated 25th Anniversary Collection.

Courtesy of a collaboration between Square Enix and Ueni Trading, fans of Final Fantasy X can now show off their appreciation for the game in style with themed watches designed by Swiss watch brand Tendence.

Released to celebrate the game's 25th anniversary, these watches are now available for pre-order, and despite them shipping from a Japanese website, you will be pleased to hear that it supports international shipping.

The collection offers two unique watch designs: the first is based on FFX's protagonist, Tidus, whilst the second is dedicated to none other than Yuna. Tidus' design features the Zanarkand Abes team emblem in the center of the watch face, as well as the hour and minute hands being the Fraternity and Ultima weapons. As for Yuna's, the watch face features the floral decoration from Yuna’s outfit whilst the hands are dedicated to the Nirvana and Magistral Rods.

The catch here is that these brand-new watches are not cheap, coming in at ¥53,900 (~$341.25) for the Yuna design, and ¥69,300 (~$438.75) for Tidus'. However, it just goes to show that you are paying for quality, and if you are a big Final Fantasy X fan with disposable income, this may be the perfect way to celebrate your love for the game. However, Tendence has only created 200 copies of each design, and so you had better hurry if you wish to secure yours.

The pre-order window for the Final Fantasy X Tendence watches will close on 19 November 2026 with the official listing going live on 20 November 2026.
