Activist-turned-politician Morara Kebaso has publicly confirmed that he is in a polygamous marriage, revealing that he has two wives.

Kebaso addressed questions about his personal life during an interview with Kisii-based vernacular radio station Etaya Radio, where he confirmed that he is married and has two wives.

“Someone asked if I’m married. Yes, I am a married man, I have two wives.”

He identified his first wife as Nyanchera, saying she is from Bobasi in Kisii County.

“First wife is called Nyanchera from Bobasi, Kisii County.”

Morara reveals names of his children

Kebaso also spoke about his family, confirming that he has three children with Nyanchera.

He identified his children as his first-born daughter, Zaina Kerubo, second-born son Garang Morara and youngest child Morara Kebaso Jr.

“We have three children together, first born is called Zaina Kerubo, second-born is a son by the name Garang Morara and last born is called Morara Kebaso Jr.”

Kebaso went on to identify his second wife as Pauline.

“The second wife is called Pauline, I’m waiting for her to also show me…”

He concluded by reaffirming his identity as a family man.

“So, just to clarify, I’m married and I am a family man.”

Mercy Makini previously said she left the marriage

Kebaso’s comments come months after his estranged wife, Mercy Makini, publicly addressed their separation.

Mercy said she left their matrimonial home on March 2, 2026, explaining that she had walked away in search of peace and to distance herself from domestic issues.

Her disclosure followed public comments by Kebaso about his personal life and his position on polygamy, prompting her to share her side of the story on social media.

The two have since remained at the centre of public interest over their relationship, with Kebaso now publicly describing himself as a married man with two wives.
